The operation process or speed is different. When operating the fractional laser the beam is scattered, while the CO2 laser is more concentrated. The fractional laser is faster while CO2 laser is slower. Fractional laser device can not be applied to cure proliferative skin diseases and gynecological diseases, but they both can solve pigmentation diseases, skin resurfacing problems and scars&acne problems.

Erythema, , edema, desquamation, skin dryness may occur after the treatment. Those effects considered an avoidable effect of the therapy but they will be eliminated and vanished no more than few days.
